Many students and people got together and celebrated her birthday.
In 1927, she was born in Busan.
In 1943, at the age of 16, she was taken to Japanese military sexual slavery facility 'comfort station' in Pyungten, China.
She had lived in Jilin, China even after Korea's independence from Japan.
She was invited to Korea by the House of Sharing and became a resident at the House of Sharing in April 2000.
She has traveled many places and countries to share her testimony so far.
