Hazel Faco from the Philippines visited the House of Sharing on 26 June
and had interviews with Ok-Sun Lee, one of Korean survivors of Japanese military sexual slavery.
She is making a documentary film entitled, “HerStory Lives: A 2019 Documentary on the Institutionalized Wartime Sexual Slavery in South Korea and the Philippines.”
She said the film was planned to juxtaposes the Korean experience with the Philippine experience in holding Japan accountable for its wartime atrocities.
and will upload the finished output on Youtube and the Facebook page of Malaya Lolas, an organization of comfort women based in Mapanique, Pampanga.
She studies law at School of Law, Ateneo De Manila University.
